EMS are excited to announce a new chapter in our story.

As of Friday 31^st July, EMS are now able to offer asbestos analytical services via a company acquisition. The Cardiff based asbestos consultancy are UKAS accredited to ISO17025 for air testing and laboratory analysis. These are services EMS have not been able to provide in-house previously.

The plan is to merge the businesses in the coming months and create a Hereford asbestos analysis laboratory. This will be the Counties first asbestos laboratory which we envisage will create at least two further jobs; exciting news in these difficult times.

Established in 2003, EMS have grown from a two-person team in a portacabin in a Herefordshire farmyard, to a multi-departmental, international, environmental consultancy with our staff based across the two counties and throughout the UK. The acquisition of this Cardiff based consultancy is the next part of our ongoing commitment to creating a start to finish service for our clients, through all stages of management, remediation and ongoing assurance.

EMS already have an established high-profile client base across the public and private sector throughout the UK and Ireland. We hope that increasing our professional service capacity will allow us to attract even more clients and larger public sector contracts.

EMS specialise in Asbestos Surveying, Consultancy & Management through EMS Asbestos. The addition of ISO17025 accreditation will allow us to complement this already established service to provide asbestos analytical services for our clients. EMS are currently already accredited to ISO17020 with offices in Herefordshire , Worcestershire and London.

Additionally, we provide specialist Geo-Technical and Geo-Environmental services throughout the West Midlands with EMS Geotech. Our Legionella department EMS Water (established 2018) provides comprehensive Legionella Management Services and has seen considerable growth in 2019 and 2020.
